Make fire
Make Fire is a spatial installation centered around an autoactive object attempting to perform a simple task: making fire. Driven by a motor, the object repeatedly acts upon wooden elements, turning an elementary human gesture into an autonomous and durational process. The work approaches fire not as an instantaneous event, but through repetition, anticipation and the possibility of failure.
