Jens Tiemann is a German film maker and media artist based in Berlin.
He was born in the north of Osnabrück in 1988.

In 2019 he graduated from Münster School of Design at the Multimedia Department. He studied two semesters at the Faculty of Design, Technology and Communication in Lisbon. His latest work What is not real was exhibited at msd Parcours in 2019. Shortly after, he got a lectureship to thereupon teach techniques of compositions in 3D-visualisation at Münster School of Design – until now. Professor Wenzel S. Spingler is now his mentor and examiner.

Besides and at present, he studies Visual Communication at Universität der Künste Berlin. He is a Master student of Prof. Joachim Sauter’s New Media Class.

Some of his works were screened at Independent Film-Festivals in Lisbon and Osnabrück. Currently, he is working as a freelancer in the fields of motion design and film making.

As an artist Jens Tiemann focusses on the space between reality and virtuality, between truthful and illusory worlds: how they can interpret each other, what can happen on their edge today in terms of art and design in the future.
